***************************************************************************

With Ephraim back in town for a few weeks, we thought it would fun to get together with some old friends and play a show the night before he leaves again. The Lovesong hasn't played a show in two years since he first left for USA, so this would be a good chance for those of you who are keen to see us in a cosy venue with a good sound.

The Lovesong started in 1999 with an acoustic guitar. Eventually it became a 3-piece band with Ephraim on drums and various bass players. There is a cassette recording of these original demos from 2002 that can still be found, recorded directly into a walkman recorder in the same window-less band room where WHC recorded Still Amidst The Traffic. Tom from Uncle Joe (who I used to play bass for) actually played bass a few times for The Lovesong in its early days. At one point Josh from WHC / Noughts and Exes joined in on keys as well. Eventually Nic moved back from abroad and took on bass duties, Ephraim switched to guitar, and Suhail from Think Up a Clear Sky joined on drums before Ding joined the band in 2007. The line up hasn't changed since, and we only wish to function as the four of us, which is why we can only do shows when Ephraim is back in town.

On the night, we have the honour of having some old friends and long time supporters sharing the stage with us:

Shotgun Politics
Tom Read
Noughts & Exes
Swan Ronson (DJ set from Paul and Mike of Hungry Ghosts)

VENUE: Beating Heart, 8th Floor, 7-9 Hill Road, Shek Tong Tsui

$160. SOLD OUT!
Bring your own drinks. Strictly non-smoking. 18+
