(editing post to reflect the actual gigs we had, instead of instructions to get to the gig)
Timmy and I had a wonderful acoustic + cajon gig to support adopted pets in Hong Kong. It was filled with good folks, wonderful cats and dogs and a nice beach beckoning with its cold waters. http://www.facebook.com/events/554690558032860/

Closing off the month of August in style we will try refraining from getting matching tattoos (someone, please just copy Kid's right arm onto mine) and are hitting up the Hong Kong Tattoo Convention to play in front of people way cooler than we are :)
Come by, get tattooed
and listen to us while you do it!

Just a note that we had a few gigs in September/October (2x at Hard Rock Cafe, one at Hidden Agenda and one great session at Stewards Poo Kei College) but they were all booked quite close to the gig, so we never put up the info here. I (Frrreddy) shall remedy this as we move forward, and will post about our upcoming Lamma and Stanley gigs soon!
Photo from Poo Kei. Rawk on!!
Peace out :)

Woah!!! Our fave band The Lovesong is back for a reunion. 100 tickets and they are all sold out. Zaaaang!
From the facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/events/160990694037999/
PLEASE NOTE: SHOW IS COMPLETELY SOLD OUT.
WE TRIED TO SQUEEZE IN AS MANY OF THE PEOPLE ON THE WAITING LIST AS
POSSIBLE, BUT UNFORTUNATELY REALLY CAN'T FIT ANYMORE.
WHO HAS PURCHASED A TICKET SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM NIC WITH
DETAILS ABOUT THE EVENT.IF NOT, PLEASE CONTACT HIM - email@example.com
THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN AND HOPEFULLY WE'LL SEE YOU ALL AGAIN THE NEXT TIME EPHRAIM RETURNS TO HONG KONG.
With Ephraim back in town for a few weeks, we thought it would fun to
get together with some old friends and play a show the night before he
leaves again. The Lovesong hasn't played a show in two years since he
first left for USA, so this would be a good chance for those of you who
are keen to see us in a cosy venue with a good sound.
Lovesong started in 1999 with an acoustic guitar. Eventually it became a
3-piece band with Ephraim on drums and various bass players. There is a
cassette recording of these original demos from 2002 that can still be
found, recorded directly into a walkman recorder in the same window-less
band room where WHC recorded Still Amidst The Traffic. Tom from Uncle
Joe (who I used to play bass for) actually played bass a few times for
The Lovesong in its early days. At one point Josh from WHC / Noughts and
Exes joined in on keys as well. Eventually Nic moved back from abroad
and took on bass duties, Ephraim switched to guitar, and Suhail from
Think Up a Clear Sky joined on drums before Ding joined the band in
2007. The line up hasn't changed since, and we only wish to function as
the four of us, which is why we can only do shows when Ephraim is back
On the night, we have the honour of having some old friends and long time supporters sharing the stage with us:
Noughts & Exes
Swan Ronson (DJ set from Paul and Mike of Hungry Ghosts)
VENUE: Beating Heart, 8th Floor, 7-9 Hill Road, Shek Tong Tsui
$160. SOLD OUT!
Bring your own drinks. Strictly non-smoking. 18+

I am not sure if this counts as a gig or not (well, it does not, but whatever). We will go on air with RadioDada on the 25th between 3-4 HK time (the Underground Battlefield show) to talk about our upcoming album GLOW and the release party which is happening just a few hours later. Listen in if you have the time!www.radiodada.hk
And here is Calvin, one of the hosts. We <3 him in a very straight kind of way.

We are playing with cross-dressing wrestler (true!!!) and paradoxical Inuits (somewhat true) at Xperience. Loving the BauCo and loving the poster featuring Art from Six Pack of Wolves on a magic carpet. Children beware!

Freddy here, I'll write a longer post about this event a little bit later - just wanted to say that we were stoked, happy and hell'a surprised
that we made it to the HK final of Global Battle of the Bands.
Now we are looking forward getting our behinds severely humiliated, kicked, whooped, etc, at the HK final on the 23rd. Some more reflections to come but in the mean time a big thank you to Jimmy who rumbling about like a crazy kung-fu master. <3 to ya Jimmz.
Peace out for now!
